I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The location is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful. When travelling with a young child you need good hotels and this is one that I would highly reccommend.

I am very glad that we chose the Pushka Inn for our first trip to Russia. You can't beat the location on the Moika canal, just a stone's throw from Palace Square. Also the staff was GREAT about answering my emails promptly, in English, & really helpful in arranging for visa vouchers, airport pickup and tours of Hermitage and Peterhoff. Ask for Olga to be your guide, if possible. Besides helping us bypass the formidible lines, she was indispensible in helping us purchase tickets for the train from St. Petersburg to Moscow . . . The hotel itself exceeded our expectations with the top floor three-bedroom apartment perfect for our family of five. Very clean with modern plumbing, cable tv, etc. The restaurant next door had an excellent breakfast with eggs, yogurt, cereals, tea. etc.

you do need to be careful about which rooms you book. We had a "standard" room on the ground floor and it was miniscule; one side of the double bed had to be against the wall. The windows overlooked the parking lot which was quiet enough but the restaurant staff across the way took smoking breaks out there which meant we didn't open windows unless we wanted a room full of smoke! Other guests said the "comfort" rooms on the higher floors are far more spacious and would be a better choice. Our teenager's single room next door was even smaller! The bathrooms while also small were workable although anyone of more than average girth might find the shower a bit of a challenge.
All that being said, the service was wonderful, the location was outstanding and the restaurant provided a good breakfast and other meals were very reasonablly priced compared to many restaurants in St. P.
St. P is very expensive and this hotel really is a great choice if you are careful about the type of room you book.

We decided to stay in tthis hotel after all the good references we foun on trip adsvisor and the choice was really positive. During Booking People of the hotel was extremely kind and professional and real good english speaking. Reception on arrival was very good and we found the roomk(comfort, on the Moika river) very large, clean and same the bathroom. Position is number one for this hotel 100 meters from Palace Place and Winter Palace. Very Very Reccomended for a stay in Petersburg
