We were lucky to be able to upgrade to an Executive room on the 25th floor. And I must say we enjoyed every minute of our time here. It's a very large hotel, so you are just one of many people staying there, but even so, the hospitality and service was always friendly and helpful. The quality of the rooms is excellent, including the bathroom. The view from the higher floors is stunning, especially at night looking out over Kobe. I was at a conference on the island, so location was perfect. There was not a lot for my wife to do here, except of course, for buying beautiful Kobe pearls at Tasaki Pearls nearby. Fortunately the hotel is very close to the rail station to take you into town and there are regular shuttle services every 20 minutes as well. The hotel's restaurant is very good, either buffet or a-la-carte. Prices are typical for this level of restaurant. This is just as well, as there are not many eating please nearby. For breakfasts we were able to use the executive buffet. It was very nice to have a cup of tea waiting for you when you got to your table. We also found it easy to take a day trip to Kyoto – hop on the shuttle, and a 30min Shinkansen to Kyoto. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to return.More
