If you don't care about internet access, this hotel is a definite 5 out of 5 stars. If you are the type of person who wants/needs to be connected, the wifi will be frustrating as it seemed to drop out for 1-2 minutes every 5-10 minutes. Further, the data speeds were slower here than any of the other hotels I stayed in in Japan, all of which were cheaper and less fancy.
Griping about the wifi aside, this hotel was fantastic. As everyone else has said, the location is great. It is easily accessible by metro and bus, and is a short cab ride from the main JR station. There are all kinds of restaurant choices close by, highlighted by the french bakery right next door. We bought our breakfast there and walked down to the river (less than 100 m away) to eat it every morning. What a way to start the day! The hotel itself is extremely modern and you will feel like you are staying in a real luxury hotel, yet the price was very reasonable. The front staff spoke varying amounts of English - some were excellent, some merely passable. The room was small (typical for Japan), but not cramped and included a writing desk and a TV. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious (for Japan).
In summary, I was frustrated by the wifi, but everything else about this hotel is so great that I would definitely stay here again.
