Very beautiful hotel although rooms are quite small. Several good restaurants, they also have an office where you can buy tickets to Universal Studios. Some staff rude.

The reason that I chose this hotel for my period of holidays in Osaka was because it is adjacent with the Intex Osaka where the Osaka Auto Messe was held. It is far from the city but there is a subway station (Nakafuto) which is like 3 minutes of walking distance from the hotel. Journey from Nakafuto Station to the Namba Station would take you around 30-40 minutes. The taxi fare from the hotel to the Shinsaibashi / Yodobashi camera would costs you around >4,000 Yen if you are in a hurry or too tired to take the subway. There is a shuttle service to the Universal Studios Japan which costs you 1,000 Yen (return- 1 adult). Overall, I am quite satisfied with my stay at Hyatt Regency Osaka because of their services. It is a money well spent.

The room was filthy and the RC club had very dirty chairs and tables. Furniture was dated and weathered in the rooms. This hotel is not worth the 30 minute bus ride from JR Osaka Station. There is absolutely nothing to do in the vicinity unless you have deal with the World Trade Center .
We chose this hotel as after our stay in Japan we were going on a cruise so the location was important and suited our needs perfectly. The hotel is approximately 30 minutes from the railway station and with a bus leaving the hotel on a regular basis this did not prove to be a problem at all. You were taken to Osaka Umeda station where you take a JR local comuter train to Shin-Osaka which is one stop. This is the main station for the Bullet Trains. The public areas of the hotel were superb. The room was a good size as was the bathroom. The furniture was quite shabby but that is down to the mis-use by guests but did feel the hotel should monitor damage regardless of how minor. The biggest disappointment was the carpet in the room - it was filthy dirty. I could have asked to be moved but we spent such a minimal amount of time in the room it wasn't an issue except for the fact that there is no way I would have walked on it without shoes! Do take time out to go to the bar on the 28th floor, the views are superb.

Stayed here for 5 days in June 2006 with family. The location is an issue BUT the free shuttle bus ( takes 30 Minutes to Osaka station) is a real plus. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but very spacious. The Italian restaurant is very good and quite reasonable for an upmarket experience. The WTC adjoining is a bit downmarket and the surrounding area is a little unkempt.
