I was there for a conference held right inside the hotel, and I didn't expect much as it's "just" a Ramada. I was dead wrong. Ramada Osaka exceeded my expectations. It's not Hyatt or Westin, but I would say it's one cut above the typical Ramada that you can find in North America.
Its location is good, close to sake bars and restaurants, but far enough from the hustle and bustle in downtown Osaka. The hotel is located right next a metro station, where you can get to other parts of the city. It's only a 15-minute walk to Hankyu Department Store.
There's a convenience store across the street. Also there're quite a few inexpensive local eateries where you can have a lunch special for less than 1000yen.
Considering that I paid only about US120 (w/bk) for a single room, I had not complaint about this hotel. The only downside is that the room is VERY tiny and looks a but dull. This is not too much of trouble to me, though.
