I had reasonable expections when I went to this restaurant, mainly because I have been told by others that the restaurant is "quite nice but not cheap". My partner and I had dinner at Meatworks last night and honestly I was pretty disappointed by the quality of food. It was definitely not cheap but it was not even nice.
For entree, we had some beef satay and flatbread with tomato salsa and feta/olives on the side which were pretty mediocre. I thought the milk-fed lamb that I had for main course fell a bit short of my expectations - the ribs were a bit burned on the outside and the carrots on the side appeared to be under cooked. My partner also commented that his rib eye steak was a bit too dry. The portion for these dishes were not big. At the end I didn't think the meal was worth RM190.00 for the 4 dishes and a fruit punch and a bottle of plain water. I am glad that we didn't order any dessert.
However, I must admit that the service was fast and courteous but it was not enough to save the day.
