Am currently staying at the hotel for 3 nights, leaving tomorrow. The hotel is a bit tired but comfortable. The bed is fine and the room mostly clean (except for someone else's hair still on the hairdryer....) Most frustrating for me is lack of wifi in the bedrooms. Also quaintly amusing is the mix of power plugs. The iron in my room had a plug that only fits the US style socket near the tv, not the EU socket near where I'd like to do the ironing.
The staff are friendly but not all on the ball. The security screening is amateur, while the concierge couldn't recommend a restaurant serving local food within the vicinity. (the guy at the Hyatt around the corner gave instant good advice).
The lobby restaurant is reasonable for breakfast, with a wide variety of cuisines. But I just want mostly fresh fruit. The Philippines is full of great fruit, but you wouldnt know it here. Just 4 small plates hidden behind the bakery. The cantaloupe melon was hard this morning, and there was no mango left. Ho hum, not good enough for the price.
