I travel to the Alabang area for work and there are really only two hotels in the area - this and another hotel. This is the first time I have stayed at Belleview (stayed at the alternate hotel about 6 times). My work had a conference here and we were all booked in to stay here. While checking in I was offered a cold beverage, something that I have not experienced anywhere before, so it was definitely a nice start.

The rooms are well appointed. Not particularly large - just regular hotel rooms. Everything is of great quality and there seems to be 100 tv channels. There is a buffet lunch on Level 2 which is of a very high standard - although, to be fair, food in the Philippines general is always of a great standard and there always seems to be plenty of it!. The bar on Level 20 is nice for a drink later at night.

It is a very busy hotel, with all rooms being booked out frequently and often the lunch buffet being very busy. There is a large mall (aren't they all in Manila?!) about 800metres away for your shopping need.

Overall, nothing to complain about - great hotel, great service, great rooms. It is just that it caters for a specific market - people who work within about a 30 minute drive away. Stay here and you shouldn't be disappointed.

I was a little weary booking my business stay at the Bellevue in Alabang since other Internet reviews gave it below to average ratings at best. My stay at the Bellevue last two weeks for business purposes. I must say that the Bellevue was a very nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay there very much. Previous Internet reviews slammed their complimentary buffet breakfast, but I found it to be quite nice with large selections and varieties available. The gym had all the machines I needed including several modern treadmills, bicycles, free weights and universal type weight machines. There is a nice club/bar located on the top floor (20th floor) that had a nice view of Alabang with nightly bands playing a variety of music. If you're not into music there is bar with two large plasma televisions tuned to the local sports channel. The free shuttle service to two of Alabang's main malls, the Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center was very convenient since these malls get crowded quick even on weekdays. What impressed me most was the hotels back up generators -- during my stay the Philippines got hit by a category 3 typhoon that knocked out power to all of Manila for 2-4 days....but the Bellevue ran smoothly as if there were no power problems.

“hotel managed well crisis caused by super typhoon Xangsane”

I stayed at the Bellevue from Sep 29 to Oct 3. My flight to Manila (as were all flights) on Sep 28 was cancelled because of super typhoon Xangsane (aka Milenyo in the Philippines). It was busy when I checked in because people without electricity &/or water in the homes nearby also wanted to check in. The staff coped well with the chaotic conditions. I had to wait a little while for my room but the staff were helpful & friendly & this made the inconvenience bearable.

Much of Manila had no electricity during those few days I was there but all seemed normal at the Bellevue. They had their generators running etc. The effects of the super typhoon could be seen everywhere around the hotel eg. uprooted tress, downed billboards, etc. I am sure many of the staff didn't have electricity at home at that time yet they remained cheerful on the job.

I found my room comfortable though I wouldn't rate it 5-star material. Free broadband connection was great. It would have been better if there were brighter lighting by the desk.

Quality of the food on the 2nd floor was good though the buffet was monotonous & repetitive. The a la carte menu was limited & many of the things I wanted to order were not available. It seemed like they prefer their guests select the buffet.

Good thing though is that there are many restaurants nearby & the hotel shuttle will take guests for free to these restaurants & malls.

I will be happy to stay here again if my next trip brings me to this part of Manila.

I stayed here because it allowed me to get to my customer's site without fighting through Manila traffic. The staff really go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and all your needs are taken care of.
The hotel itself is nice and clean and the rooms fairly spacious. I wouldn't say it's anything special though. The biggest problem is the neighborhood. There's really nothing to do except take the free shuttle to one of the two malls nearby. If you like to be able to walk around and take in the sights, this isn't the place for you. If you just need a base to work out of for a reasonable price, then the Bellevue should work just fine.

“A very nice hotel”

The trouble with so few reviews for a hotel is that if you get one crackpot review, the ratings suffer too much.

This is a very nice hotel located south of downtown Manila in Alabang. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and very easily a four-star out of five. The restaurant food is fine, if not memorable and the staff has been very friendly and attentive. For American travellers, this is probably equivalent to a Hilton, Marriott or Westin.

I would have no problem staying here again.
