Just as others have described.
Would book a room with aircon if I went again so could close windows at night so as not to be woken by late night revellers passing along the lane in front of the hotel.
Strongly recommend the Anatolian Restaurant.
Would not do the Ephesus trip again, we were away for 14.5 hours with less than 3 at Ephesus.

the opal is a wonderful place to relax and watch the world go by. this was our first visit to turgutreis but it wont be our last as we have already booked to return in june 2006. nothing is to much trouble for staff and they made us feel at home.hotel is idealy placed approx 5 min walk from centre so it is a great place to get over the night before. i recommend visiting Tash's bar if u are looking for a night of music and laughs. we made so many friends and look forward to saying hi to them in 2006.(can't wait to return)

small quiet friendly hotel, ideally situated not to far from the town. only 5min walk if you have one too many.lovely view (best in turkey)from hotel bar. this was our first time in turgutreis and wont be our last as we have already booked to go back in june 2006 (cant wait). great bars and night life excellent restaurants and people very friendly always willing to help you. hi to all our new friends we made.

This small friendly hotel is the perfect place to chill out. I stayed here for 2 week in October, the rooms are simple, but quite adequate, the room service is excellent. the town is just a few minutes walk away but far enough away not to hear the banging music all night. If you want peace and quite in a seafront location, the Opal is the place to stay.
