Just returned today, Sept 2, from meeting friends at Peppertree for the week. Could have been worse, but could have been better.
*Our friends checked in before us and said the staff was rude.
*When I called the resort to check on my friends' arrival, no answer at the front desk, then, after the 3rd call, they answered and laid the phone down, never to pick it up again....
*The pool hours were too short, especially on a holiday weekend. 10am to 10pm.
*The game room/gift shop closed early on Labor Day weekend, 3pm. Normally 8:45pm, still too early.
*The beach equip staff takes lunch from 11:30am to 1:45pm. You're out of luck for these 2 hours to rent or have setup.
*Check out instructions were a little much. After dishwasher done, all clean dishes were to be put away on their "appointed shelves" and a housekeeping inspection was to be made before we left the unit.
Too bad our phone didn't work in the unit and after 2 calls about it from our cell phones, it was never repaired or explained. oops, couldn't reach housekeeping.....

On the plus side, nice landscape and seating areas around the resort, elevators a welcome alternative after a day at the beach, unlimited beach towel exchanges, great beach.

Liked the Crystal Coast, but will check other options when returning.

The condo was very nice. Seems to have been recently updated. We were in building 31. This is the very farthest building from the beach. The walk to the beach was probably a 5 or 6 minute walk lugging the beach gear. This building, however, was very near the indoor pool (very nice) and the hot tub. There were a decent amount of activities set up for families. Not too bad. Biggest complaint with the condo was that there were no lounge chairs on the patio (or balconies) were you could relax on your own deck. They were straight chairs which I found odd for a resort type condo.

Biggest complaint with the area is that you have to drive everywhere. Food in the area was not spectacular. Lots of fried seafood.

We stayed at Peppertree Villas over the weekend of July 20-22,2007. The resort was clean and very lovely. It is a nice place for families with young kids. They have really nice pools, and the beach was great. They offer game rooms and activities, but they closed at 5:00pm, which was not very convienant. The 2 bedroom condo was very cute and clean, and very efficient. The full kitchen had all the appliances/utensils that you need. It also had a lovely jacuzzi in the master bathroom. Unfortunately, it did not work. We called about it and were told that it is a maintenance issue, and they could do nothing about it. That was dissapointing. The balcony was nice also. The resort is close to a grocery store. The hospitality from the staff was ok, could have been much better. The salon/spa onsite was wonderful. The ladies who work in there were very nice and helpful. Overall, we had a nice trip. The resort is really lovely, and you can walk around to everything on the property.

We stayed at Peppertree the week of July 22nd. We're owners of a resale unit in bldg 17 which was very convenient to everything and a short walk to the beach. The resort is lovely and well maintained. There are several play areas for kids and nice sitting areas with benches, swings and gazebos. Our unit appeared to have fairly new furniture and drapes and was recently painted. The beach is very wide and the ocean had calm surf the week we were there. We loved the area. Restaurants were plentiful as were various things to do. We plan to use our unit in future years.
