My family had always stayed at this resort since I was a child. After I graduated school we didn't go for a few years. But we all got back together this year & took a trip. Well, I can't say I don't like it b/c I do. What I can say is the staff is not so friendly. Like I said I have been many a time b4. Well, this time was different. We had a problem with the air circulation in our room. I called the office many times to have to problem fixed. they came up & opened the valve. No difference. I called a few hours later. not sure what they did then or the next time i called. Well they finally brought us a fan. That wasn't what I was expecting them to do. All the fan did for me was circulated the hot air. Needless to say I was getting very frusturated. It was 92 degrees outside & hot in my room as well. The office staff really ticked me off. So sunday when I went to check out I let them know how displeased I was. The complaint went in one ear & out the other!!!! Since Mr. Cooper passed on the business has gone downhill. Maybe I didn't get to talk to the right person. In return I rec'd no compensation, nor was there ever an attempt to offer to switch us to a diff room. And If someone working there reads this article & says they were booked then I can say that is not true. I was standing in the office sat & someone walked in to see what the rates were & if there was vacancy. And it was stated in front of me that rooms were available. I am not saying I will not go back b/c I have young children & they loved it. What I am saying is I feel like I could have been treated better.

We called to cancel our stay due to a storm. We were told there would be no charge, but they charged us for a nights stay anyway - and for extra occupants!! They would not reverse charges, the manager was extremely hard to get ahold of. Extremely unhelpful. The charges were never reversed! BEWARE!

Had a great time. I loved the easy beach access and the breakfast buffet. It was great for my younger brother and sister. Sure its old, but you wouldn't know it. I absoulutely loved the pool! The pier is awesome!
I strongly reccommend this motel. We we'll be back!

This is a great place to stay if you like a decent motel with a great beachfront location. It's an older motel but very well-maintained, and the staff was very nice. The lawn and pool area was excellent. Everything was neat and well-kept, there were chairs and lounges, playground for kids and games like shuffleboard for the adults. The best part is the beach area. The motel is right on the beach, just walk across the lawn area and you're on the beach! The beach is very nice - fine white sand, wide beach area and a gentle slope into the ocean. Plus, they provide umbrellas and chairs and beach boys to set them up. The motel is a basic older style motel, the rooms are a decent size, and there is complimentary coffee available 24 hours. Most of the rooms do not have an ocean view, though, but they have a patio(1st floor) or shared balcony(2nd floor) with chairs. We have been to many beach areas and have stayed in many different types of motels and condos, and we tend to prefer the smaller beachfront motels like the Oceanana because they usually are right on the beach more so than the larger or newer motels. This motel has an exellent location! If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this motel is not for you. But if you want a decent motel at a reasonable price with an excellent location, this is a great place!
