We had a very good time at the bed and breakfast. It is the place to stay if you want to visit vineyards. We attended a wedding and everyone else had to take a bus back to Charlottesville, but we were 5 minutes away. They were very accommodating. The rooms were very nice and clean. Only slight downside restaurants - start looking for early, far and few.

Afton Mountain was a lovely get-away from hectic D.C. We enjoyed our stay in the Goodwin Room and the house and grounds are absolutely charming,

By far, the best B&B we have stayed in yet! If you have the time, tour some of the area wineries, visit Charlottesville, Monticello, etc. The area has a lot to offer and after a long day of sight seeing, nothing is better than Orquida's homemade cookies, rocking on the front porch or enjoying the view!

My 9-year old niece Madison and I were charmed from the first by this wonderful B&B. Beautifully situated in the Blue Ridge mountains, the historical home is beautiful, clean, neat, and has a pool, which was fabulous during our August visit.

Orquida and Dan were wonderful and gracious hosts, and our every need had been anticipated. The rooms (we peeked into all of them!) were beautifully furnished to the Victorian period and quite modern in conveniences, too.

From the homemade cookies each afternoon, to advice on sites to see, spring water, delicious coffee, and log-rolling breakfasts, all is well and inviting at Afton Mountain Inn.

This inn was a pure delight!!! The surroundings are breathtaking and the location is ideal for those who want to tour wineries and visit Charlottesville and other historical sights. It's a fabulous area to make a weekend trip. . . The rooms were perfectly decorated- unique with every detail thought out. The hosts were so helpful, yet not intrusive in any way. Breakfast was delicous! Be prepared to share your breakfast with other guests (who will most likely be quite nice!). Every aspect was so well thought out and taken care of. I would most definitely stay here again and again! Highly recommed!
