The evening spent with Yara and Richard was definitely the highlight of my visit to Paraty, if not the highlight of my trip to Brazil. We were actively involved in every step of cooking our delicious dinner, which included a souffle - I had never cooked a souflle before and under Yara's expert guidance it turned out perfectly! But what made the evening so special was hearing Yara and Richard explaining the origins of the dishes were were cooking, giving their own insights into how food has shaped the Brazilian way of life and creating such a warm and friendly atmosphere. It was rounded off with the chance to taste some very high quality cachaca. I would 100% recommend spending an evening here.
