I stayed at the Transamerica for 6 nights for a trade show at the exhibition centre next door. The rooms are a good size and have evevrything you need, except tea and coffee making facilities which would have been nice. Internet is free with a plug-in DSL cable and here is also an internet room with computers connected in case you don't have your own. The buffet restauarant is good too and there is also an Italian restaurant but it seems to have strange opening times. The bar serves snacks and a very long list of drinks. The gym is a bit worn but well used and not at all bad. A big pool, tennis, golf and jogging tack are all there. he only real downside is the location which is right out on its own and not near anywhere. The nearest shops are a taxi ride away, so you are quite dependent on the hotel if you do not know SP very well. If you are doing a show next door then its great and saves fighting the endless traffic and queue for taxis. One useful tip if you do need a taxi - there is a line at the back of the hotel that always has cabs, even when the exhibition centre is turning out and none are to be found there, just walk through the connecting walkway to the hotel and get one there.
