the resort was advertised as quiet and relaxed and to be honest it was like going to the croatian version of blackpool. not like porec or rovinji which are much better.
the resort was so noisy and you could not find a moment to sit back and relax. if you got near the sea you were trampled over by people to try and wedge a towel in any possible space. so you end up retreating to the pool.
the hotel was ok. some of the staff were fantastic; some of the staff were very lazy.
the hotel was clean. the restaurant food was ok. the saving grace was the pizza; it was amazing. AMAZING pizza!
i would not recommend this hotel to anyone not because of the hotel but because of the resort. it needs updating. its so hideously tacky. there is a promenade that you walk along at night. its rammed with people and you get pushed and shoved along. you can not stroll. its full of stalls selling rubbish and what looked like fake ed hardy t-shirts. the coastline is beautiful to look at. you had to walk 2km to get a quieter stretch of beach however nowhere stayed quiet pass 11am.
we did a great day trip on the MONSUN boat. its called the fish picnic. you go to a private beach for the morning and swim in the clean clear sea, go snorkelling and then have freshly caught bbqed marckrel served up for lunch. in the afternoon you then go to the isle of Cres and the town called Cres. its a lovely quiet town with a quiet stretch of beach near the harbour. it was a great day. it was 190 kuna each for the lunch and the boat trip and it included a 1/2 litre of soft drink or wine or beer.
one word of warning we did take up the hotels drink offer. they have a self service drinks machine in the restaurant. you pre=pay to use it during dinner. it is not free as suggested in other reviews that i have read. you have to show your hotel card to use it. it costs 22.50 kuna. we paid for a week and then extended it to use it the following week. the waitress accused us of stealing drinks because she did not read the card properly. we complained as it was very embrassing for this to happen in front of some many people. the hotel were very sorry and the issue was resolved.
