My husband and I stayed in the Rehana Royal Beach from the 30th April - 7th May. Flights were booked through Fly Thomas Cook and Rehana Royal Beach was booked through Low Cost Holidays. Our flights were straight forward & on arrival we were welcomed by Resort Hoppa Transfers, a 10 minute journey and we arrived. Our 1st view of the Rehana Royal Beach was WOW!! A beautiful entrance & very friendly reception staff. We were transferred to our room by golf buggy & were taken aback when we opened our room door, after a quick guided tour round the room by the concierge, we were left to explore. We had booked an executive room and we were not disappointed, a huge super kingsize bed with comfy Egyptian sheets. We were also pleasantly surprised to find, tea & coffee making facilities, a full size fridge stocked with water and soft drinks. The bathrooms are massive with a huge walk in super shower. The 1st thing we noticed was how spotlessly clean everything was. A lovely big balcony and views across a pool and out to the sea, the balcony was so big it had a sunbed on it. I do have to point out our room was on the 1st floor which made the view even better. We made our way to the restaurant called the “Sunflower” we were greeted by very friendly waters who pointed us to a clean table and arrange our drinks. The restaurant had a very good choice again that would suit any taste buds including show cooking on the outside veranda. All the chefs were very keen for us to try what they were cooking; my husband’s favourite was the cooked to order Pizza. After an enjoyable meal we headed to the bar for a couple of drinks, the bar staff again were more than helpful with a list of cocktails to hand. One thing I had to say was the drinks were not overly strong and the cuba libre was perfect. We encountered our 1st problem with the air conditioning not working, not a problem though as soon as we complained to reception they had engineers out to the room, 20 minutes later the air con was up and running & we had a great night’s sleep we headed down to the pool alongside the beach. Once again we were greeted by very friendly pool staff, one in particular who arranged beds for us and told us what time the pool bar opened, he also provided us with a bottle of water when we asked where we could get one, amazing guy.. We attended the welcome meeting provided by Low Cost Holidays and we were grateful to the rep to be given a full run down of the hotel & the area and the do’s and don’ts of sunbathing .. Our days we filled with the entertainment team working really hard to please all nationalities of people, I have never been greeted with such enthusiasm, what a great job you guys are doing, they worked tirelessly all day and all night, putting on shows at night to a high standard. We had a problem with our shower running cold water and again this was not a problem to the hard working reception staff, the following day our room was moved to the ground floor and walking out onto the terrace we were then at the pool side, excellent.. We also had a problem with a meal we had one night which I’m not going to go into as it was down to a misunderstanding & my husband approached the rep who in turn brought out the manager, the head chef & the head of the restaurants, they couldn’t do enough to resolve the issue and we were given a meal in the Asian restaurant which was top class and a meal in the oriental restaurant the night we left, 30 minutes before the restaurant was due to open! The meals in the Al a Carte were also magical, with attention to detail on every course… The Italian was true Italian, we then went the following night to the Asian, which is Chinese, again, totally amazing & as mentioned on the last night we went to the Oriental, we actually had to ask the chef to stop cooking as there was no room left on our table for food, IT WAS AMAZING. I have to mention the cleaning staff, when we changed rooms we were asked to go & check out our new room to make sure it suited. When we got to the room there was a cleaner on the floor physically cleaning the rug by hand, he done a fantastic job keeping our room clean. The pool staff constantly go up and down sweeping and picking up litter & every toilet has a cleaner who is stationed outside ready to go in and clean every 30 mins.. I could go on & on about how wonderful this hotel is but why not go and try for yourself, we are hoping to go back in September. Thanks Rehana.
