This is not a bad hotel at all the good points are the grounds, pools, staff (most) and room size and lovely reception area. Weather this time of year is also good but windy. Hotel not far from airport.
However this hotel seriously lacks any upmarket food, there is no a la carte restaurants unless you go to the Thai which is nice but not included and is the only restaurant I would class as a restaurant and not food hall. The restaurants are basic food, rice, chips, chicken, fish or pasta etc but nothing special. No large displays of fresh fruit or speciality cooking as in other 5* hotels I have vistited such as the Blue Reef Oasis and Conrad in Sharm. This is a basic good all rounder family hotel but do not expect superior. Drinks are warm, no baileys or sparkling wine or menu to upgrade your wine at meal times. Saying that my kids enjoyed it especially the water park and coffee bar. Do not go to the snake show it is cruel and the snakes are drugged and pulled around for the sake of so called enjoyment, this should be stopped other entertainment this time of year is really non existent.
I would say all rooms seemed good but we had a large room facing the waterpark front lawns which was...

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for your kind comments and invaluable critique of your recent stay with us. We value all of our guests and their comments and take on board all relevant items that can help us move forward the quality of our service delivery.
We are sorry that you felt our variety of food available during your recent stay was insufficient. To be fair, whilst recognizing and valuing your opinion, we were somewhat shocked and bemused to hear this. Food is available for our guests 24 hours each day from our many restaurants, to say that the food is basic and that we have no specialty food available is not certainly untrue, as we have live stations in all of our restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner offering different types of special fresh food, which is cooked in front of you. If we try to count the items of food offered each day then the total is in the thousands. We offer food varieties originating in the cuisines of the home countries of pretty much all of our guests. We offer dozens of meat dishes, fish dishes, countless varieties of vegetables, pulses, vegetarian dishes, etc. We offer tempting kids meals and we meet the dietary needs of those requiring special eating regimes. Room service is constantly available as are snacks from all the pool and beach bars.
Whilst not wishing to be contentious, we cannot help but feel that if you will consider the situation of any hotel or restaurant you may have visited, the menu at any of them cannot be infinite but is to some degree restricted. However, were we to publish daily a menu of all the food items available in this hotel, we would be providing you with the biggest and heaviest menu you will have ever encountered. We remain exceptionally proud of our kitchens, our restaurants, the value for money we offer and the sheer variety of food provided to our valued guests.
We note your comments about alcohol in Egypt. Perhaps, you will recall that whilst primarily Egypt is a non-drinking country we do share with you in the UK a common heritage with the brewing of alcohol. If any of our guests would like any branded alcohol, like Baileys or different types of wine, they can buy these from our White Elephant Restaurant. No hotel bar will offer baileys or other types of imported alcohol as an all inclusive deal.
We offer a variety of entertainment to suit everyones tastes, plus a full childcare activity program with our UK Childcare professionals. In the daytime we have a International animation team at the active pool and beach, running softer activities such as stretching and mini golf, as well as a full program of sport and fitness sessions such as water aerobics and beach volleyball. In the evening we offer live music at the terrace/lobby, a nightly show at the Beach Bar (ranging from Acrobatics to various professional dance shows) and quizzes, bingo and karaoke at the Irish pub, plus music disco’s for children, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and the latest popular music. Just to clarify that the snakes in our Cobra snake show are certainly not drugged or harmed in any way, these snakes are owned by the performer and the aim of the show is to show how he can hypnotize these reptiles. I appreciate that this type of show may not appeal to everyone but it is one of our most popular shows.
The hotels you mentioned are very nice properties, however they are considerably more expensive than us and do not offer as much value for money as we do.
Our room rate and all inclusive concept is possibly the very best value for money 5-star offers in Sharm el-Sheikh. We offer numerous dining options, 24-hours snacks, high quality drinks and all the features and services of a 5-star hotel. Many guests return to us again and again as our the value for money at our resort is irrepressible.
The Royal Albatros Moderna has been awarded 5-stars by the Egyptian Tourism Board and we are regularly critiqued by the board to keep our standards high. We have also recently won the hotels4u Best Seller award thanks to our huge numbers of repeat guest bookings - almost 40% - which is unheard in any International hotel.
We hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to our hotel once again in the future and at which time I look forward to speaking with you and personally ensuring your next holiday will exceed all your expectations.
