We stayed at the Hilton Moorea and experienced poor dining service and expensive mediocre food. We were desperate to get out of the resort restaurant. A local tour operator we trusted highly recommended Rudy's. The hotel concierge tried twice to steer us away from Rudy's, probably because they run a competing steak house. Guess which one is far superior? We insisted on Rudy's and did not regret it. It was nice to feel like a welcome and important guest, with proper friendly and personable service. I can tell you after 21 days in FP resorts this is unusual. The food is great too! The popular Parrot fish was really good and a chance to have something we don't get at home.
