The location is excellent, right next to the lake and within walking distance of the towncentre. There are however few rooms with a view of the lake - mine had a view of the house next door.
The hotel has seen better days and could do with a little refurbishment to get a 'very good' rating. Little things do not work as well as they should - the window catch in the bedroom, the electronic door key, and even the lift for part of my stay.
My room was a reasonable size and nice and clean. The bed was a bit soft. The bathroom was fine. The TV had many channels - CNN for example but no BBC.
Service was mixed. At the reception they were efficient and friendly. I did not have a computer, and they allowed me to check in on line for my return flight. They also spontaneously offered me a lunch packet when on my final day I had to leave before breakfast was served. In the restaurant the service was a little lackadaisical. The breakfast was ok, but as an example of lack of attention the fried eggs were icy cold. In addition the dining room needed a good airing - it smelt of fried food.
I paid €49 euros for a double room, with single occupancy.
