I was pleasantly surprised with the clean lines, the hotel, how it can still make one feel warm and welcome despite the 'minimalist' approach. An 'Art' hotel I would say, classy, contemporary.
I was warmly welcomed by Pooja and the check in was smooth and very pleasant. The staff is professionally attired and mannered. Mr Abirup, helped me out with my room request and I really appreciate that. The rooms are relatively bigger than the regular suites, in hotels of similar class I stayed in Chennai. Again, classy, and I especially like the bath area.
The best part is the reception, personalized service I get at the Coffeehouse which came as a contrast to the 'minimalistic' decor..the servers are well trained and the uniform high standards are provided by each. Special thanks to the staff: Ravindra, Dimpal, Anoop, Neelesh, Baskar and friendly Lucia. One does not have to 'wait around' for items to be served and the breakfast pastries are fresh and always tempting, with new varieties! From time to time, one can spot the GM in the restaurant or lobby and the personalized card from him upon check-in is unique and nice touch.
Abir, Gyalpo at Flying Elephant were servers who provided me with attentive service ..but in general, I sense the good vibes of the staff, a cheery bunch.

The Spa is becoming more Ayurvedic which is a reason why I chose to stay here and did not regret. My treatments with Ruth and Gita were relaxing and haircut with Mahai, very nice-will return. Vasanth at the front desk is knowledgeable and welcoming. The bonus is the Spa manager is a Ayurvedic doctor who is willing to and makes time to create for me a personal regime and with his assistant manager, Dr Geethika, to help me out. I ended up trying a few treatments not offered in other Spas-very nice and interesting menu!
The housekeeping staff took good care of me, my room service on time and very clean, the occasional treats thrown in is another nice touch..quite a few pleasant surprises..and make my stay interesting.
Overall, a very satisfying stay, they did the 'friendliness' thing right, the servers are so warm and throughout my stay, I never had the impression they were expecting anything but customer fulfillment in return. Thank you!
