This family driven hotel is the friendliest hotel I have ever stay at. Very clean room and no bugs/insects at all inside.

We were picked up late Sunday evening at the airport by the hotel owner and were in our room 20 minutes later.

We ask for possibilities to get some dinner in the area, they were calling to different pizza deliveries. But at Easter time and late evening it was hard to find any food. This was no problem, the owner’s wife served us a delicious chicken meal made from the hotel kitchen :-)

When planes departure from SJO, they went right over the hotel. I am not sure if the airport was closed at night, but we both slept very well. No problem at all.

Broadband internet available at the reception.

The next day we ask for were to spent 6 hours in this San Jose area. We had some whishes for the day and the son of the hotel owner went with us all day with his car. Amazing day at a butterfly farm, a zoo and a coffee farm/plant (Doka Estate).

My wife and I spent our first night in CR in this hotel. We chose the more expensive room in the new building. We paid USD 67 including taxes. The price included transportation from/to the airport and breakfast. The food was good (fresh fruit, bread, eggs, coffee). The neighborhood is rather poor, but the Robledal property is very pretty: nice buildings, many flowers and trees.

Due to the proximity to the ariport (west of SJO, in the flight path), airplane noise can be a nuisance to some travelers.

In a pinch on our last night in CR, we were in need of a room. Robledad was able to accomodate us and came to pick us up at our overbooked hotel. This is a small B&B owned by a family on a bit of farm land a few minutes from the San Jose airport. We arrived at night and the neighborhood looked sketchy, but once inside their gates all was well. Seems they have built a small building of maybe 6 rooms behind their main house. VERY basic but clean. Breakfast was included. In daylight the neighborhood was typical Costa Rica, and not scary. Family is VERY nice and provides airport transportation.
