My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days in mid february. to begin with the safe in the room and the tv did not work,. but who is there to watch tv anyways. The breakfast inclulded with the price was not worth mentioning. there were limited amount of beach chairs which posed a problem. To end it all off the cost was unreal almost 300.00 for 2 nights. My husband and I spent 3 weeks in costa Rica and found a lot nicer places for cheaper. this place has potential, if the owner only got up from his poolside chair and stopped drinking coffee it might help.

We stayed 4 nights in a bungalow with fan. The room was simple but ok and clean. The fan was enough. The hotel itself is very nice with a great location directly on the beach and two pools. They have palms and umbrellas on the beach that give shade whe you lie on a longchair.
The hotel is runned by an older German hotelmanager that is just terrible! How he is sitting on his table and commanding the staff, just awful. So is the service as a result of his behaviour. Breakfast is not very special and slow, if you come late the buffet is empty and you have to ask for the things because they don`t bring it themselves. But if you can live with that, its a good place to stay because on the whole beach there are just a handfull of hotels that have location on the beach with longchairs!
the hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the center where you find a lot of restaurants. Try El Dorado, you will find the best Pizza, owned by an Italian that really lives his love for his Italian Ristorante!

We booked this place for a couple of days, for our drive around Costa Rica, and enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra day.

The property was well-maintained and beautifully landscaped.
There are two nice pools and lots of lounge chairs on the beach, with shady spots to park them. Samara has the best ocean swimming that we found in CR, and this is arguably the best beach resort in town.

It's a ten-minute walk down the tide line into Samara for dinner (try CoCo's) and a beautiful walk back, along the surf, under the starry sky.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 11 days and got married on the beach in front of the hotel. Our wedding was better then excpected because of an employee named Andrea. She and Leah were great and very helpful.

If you are looking for a nice hotel in a quiet area with shade on the beach this is it! The service is not what we americans are used to, but so what! If you want something you get up and get it ,or ask politely for it.

The town of Samara was awesome, just enough to do and places to eat. Visit Co Co's, Pizza and Pasta a Go Go,and Sheriffs. Deffinitly go to wing nuts canopy tour, it was a highlight of the trip.

Las Brisas was worth the price....learn spanish or at least a little:)
