My husband and I did the tour with lunch today and had a great time, learned about the entire coffee making process, got to practice making expresso and lattes and met great folks from Spain, Belgium, and Germany. We appreciated learning about the differences in shade grown, organic versus other beans. Our guides were knowledgeable and since the audience consisted of families, the theatrical presentation was fun for everybody. Our group size was about a dozen. Lunch was delicious and healthy. We couldn't ask for more.

It's a cute tour, where you will learn a lot about coffee. Yes, the actors can be a little cheesy, but overall, they do a good job and keep the audience involved. The gift shop had the best prices for Cafe Britt products that we found in all of Costa Rica. It's at least worth stopping by on your way back to the airport, to pick up some souvenirs.

My husband and I just completed the coffee tour at Cafe Britt. Overall, we were very disappointed. This tour is NOT worth the 35 dollars we paid for the tour + mediocre lunch.

The staff is very friendly; however, it seemed as though the tour was geared toward children (or adults who have the attention span of a child). The information was presented in a theatrical way, and although I enjoy theater, the performance jumbled up the information. We really wanted to know about the coffee process and also how the coffee bean was introduced to Central America - and again - although this information was given, it was conveyed in such a simplistic style that we felt like we were back in kindergarten.

Overall - we say: save your money and find another more genuine and reasonably priced tour.

The tour is entertaining but very staged. Had hoped to see the workings of a coffee plantation, but this is more of a superficial tour designed to get you into the gift shop. No matter, the gift shop is excellent, but not as good as the restaurant. The food was outstanding and the coffee drinks were the best. Puts Starbucks to shame. Be sure to buy some coffee to take home as the quality is great for the price.
