Casa Holanda is a great place to stay and was a welcome arrival to Costa Rica after our flight in. James was great giving us tips on the area and background to the country and well as some tasty home cooked food. The garden is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the flowers and birds - really recommended!

Quiet, elegant and safe, Casa Hollanda gets it right on a multitude of levels. Personalized service by the owner James, plus nice tipico restaurants nearby, will make for a pleasant stay. An attractive array of nearby daytrips plus his tranquilo backyard will take your worries away, especially at night. We can still hear the magic of his orchestral chimes in the wind. Add his own piano playing and it all adds up to a muy sympatico experience---wished we'd booked extra days!

We are a family of 4 and had a great stay at Casa Holanda. James was extremely helpful and full of information. We really enjoyed the Heredia area, which is close to lots of activities and Costa Rica is the best.

My two traveling companions, and I stayed at Casa Holanda on two separate nights. The casa was warm and inviting, very clean and well-maintained. James, the host, is an accomplished composer, and fabulous singer/piano player. He entertained us in song and with a wicked game of Uno.
Breakfast was a gourmet delight. You can also purchase beer and wine , and dinner. We went to his little cafe two nights for dinner and had a delightful casado (plate of the day). Casa Holanda is a great find and you will not be disappointed.
