My boyfriend and I visited Hotel Vista while staying in Costa Rica. It was recommended to us by friends. The drive up was a little scary but the roads were in good shape and there wasn't too much traffic on this particular road. We were lucky enough to have our own vehicle. At one point we kept wondering "How far up into the clouds is this place?", the road just kept winding up and up. We eventually arrived and were greeted by a fantastic view, pleasant staff and lots of fun activities to choose from. We choose to take a horse back ride up into the mountains, followed by zip-lining down the mountains. This was completely exhilarating. I highly recommend it - if in Costa Rica, then zip line! We were treated to a delicious lunch over looking fantastic scenic views of the towns below and the coast line. The lunch was included in the price. To complete our day, we signed up for the ATV tour. This was a really nice way to get around the area and have the chance to see the cloud forest. All in all, this particular outfit offers great customer service safety conscious staff and reliable equipment. If you are English speaking, be sure to ask for George as your tour guide. He is EXCELLENT!

The zip line adventure @ Hotel Vista Golfo was amazing and I'll never forget that ever!!! The owners of the resort (Barbara & Uwe) were both very accommodating and friendly. My boyfriend & I reserved the 25-zipline adventure with the over night stay package but we've decided to change our plans last minute and decided to just take the zip line adventure and stay with my boyfriend's relatives for the night (he was originally from Costa Rica). Our package also included a horse back riding trip to the zip line platform but since we were running late that day (we came all the way from Liberia), Barbara (owner) arranged a ride for us to the zip line mountain to catch up with the group. I really appreciated everything that they did to accommodate us because I wouldn't wanna miss out on that once in a lifetime adventure.

Wow...the zip line was exhilarating and the view was amazing. Although don't get me wrong, I was petrified on the first few lines and I was literally screaming my lungs off...lol but after a while I got used it. The zip line crews were really friendly and they gave us thorough instructions on every single line since the techniques on when to brake varies depending on the location of the line.

Overall, it was an amazing adventure and they truly lived up to my expectations and more. The resort ground was amazing and the view was breath taking. Too bad we didn't stay for the night but for sure once we go back to Costa Rica next year, we will do the zip line adventure again and maybe stay there for a couple of days. Btw, fyi...the road going up to Miramar is very winding and the road is very narrow so be very careful because one mistake, you'll end up on the ditch and there's no barrier to protect you!!! The resort is situated almost on the top of a mountain so going up there and leaving the place is just as scary.

My wife and I drove up the mountain to Miramar in mid-March to take this zip-tour (set up via the Web) as we were staying at the Doubletree-Puntarenas and it was only a 45 minute drive in our rental. You'll need to drive about another 5 minutes past the point when you begin to worry and want to ask someone for directions - just keep navigating up hill , you'll get there......

The guys working our tour were great and very personable which made the few hours spent even better. The zip-lines were well laid out and it was unique to be able to fly over the numerous advertised waterfalls which did not disappoint. Our only negative was with our being bitten by hungry insects which were leaving small red bite marks on our legs. We didn't feel them at the time and a good repellant would have been a good prep. On the plus side, we were lucky to be the only 2 on this tour that day which made it go a bit faster by not waiting on a large group to move en mass. If you're fortunate to catch them on a slow day, you'll see what I mean.

The included lunch of chicken, beans and rice was also well prepared and welcomed (along with a few cold cervezas afterward) and the view from the mountain-top while we ate was a really fond memory for us both.

Having done one other zip tour before (in Jamaica), this was a much nicer experience as we were not in a humid environment or heavily forested area as we were the 1st time around. Overall, a recommended tour for those looking for adding some excitement to their CR-stay.

We are a family of four with two 12yo girls. We rode horses up the mountain and zip-lined 25 platforms over 11 waterfalls. This was an awesome adventure and we loved every moment. I probably wouldn't do the horseback ride again, between the two, I could hardly move for the next two days. It was worth the soreness and I would absolutely do the zip lining again. It is intense, but wonderful. FYI, once you get on this adventure, there is no way off except to continue down the zip lines.
This is an amazing way to see a Cloud Forest with old growth trees, wildlife, and natural waterfalls.
The company added a guide to make sure our girls could do all the zip lines. They did with absolutely no problems and loved every single minute of if. But it was nice having an extra guide along.
The guides were professional and fun and we felt very safe with them.
I took my camera in a dry bag especially made for taking pictures through and got some great shots.
The Cosado lunch was decent and a typical Costa Rican lunch.
I even left several items at their office and they were kind enough to get them back to me.
The booking process was very good and Anika was very nice and helpful and replied to my emails promptly.

We were in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and we decided to take the day trip to the Canopy (zip lines) experience over the waterfalls. The drive was only 1/2 hour from the beach resort where we were staying. The view from the Hotel Vista Golfo was incredibly beautiful. There were three couples in the group. All of us were from the US. We rode on horseback up the mountain on sure-footed horses, and it was a leisurely ride. We saw a monkey on the way up to the waterfalls. The guides were friendly, funny and very experienced. I am afraid of heights, but the way the zip lines are configured on the mountain my fear of heights was never triggered. The waterfalls are amazing! The zip lines take in you right over the mountain stream, following the path of the waterfalls. It is beautiful and fun. The pace is just right. It's not boring at all. Mid-way through, we took a 20 minute break and jumped into a pool just beneath a waterfall. The temperature of the water was refreshing and perfect. Not too cold. I had always wanted to swim in a mountain stream under a waterfall, and it was just as fun as I thought it would be.
When we got back to the Hotel Vista Golfo, a delicious Costa Rican lunch awaited us. Our choices were chicken, pork chops or beef. We chose pork chops, and they were grilled and delicious! We were really hungry. The waiter brought us delicious, hot costa rican coffee after lunch. We wandered around the premises, exploring the mountain trails and enjoying the views...then it was time to take us back to the beach resort. We returned to the beach by 2:30 pm. A wonderful, fun day. It was our best day in Costa Rica! I highly recommend it. It wasn't too strenuous, it was all around, "just right!"
