Ginette has a first class B&B. It is a great mid-Century modern type house with lots of public space to hang out in, lovely gardens and very close to the action (a short walk or cab ride away). Ginette is a great innkeeper- she was very helpful in making arrangements for us before our arrival and when we arrived starving she quickly got us menus and helped us order carry out food. Then she helped us plan our last day in beautiful Costa Rica- the butterfly farm was totally worth the time and money- the pictures are just great ! This is the place to stay when you are in San Jose- the price is right, the rooms are great and the innkeeper is stupendous.

Casa Laurin is a delightful place to be in Costa Rica. It is spacious and private, but with the added benefit of a gracious hostess, who generously offers to help you enjoy your stay. Breakfasts are beautifully served and delicious. It is easy to interact and get to know other guests. The environment is warm and homelike--just the thing that is needed, especially if it is one's first visit to Costa Rica.

We stayed with Ginette for three days in September. This B&B is a perfect place to stay for any occasion. Ginette is the best host and goes out of her way to make your stay an enjoyable one. We give her 100 Gold Stars and will stay there next year if we are able to visit Costa Rica again. The house is very clean, spacious and the breakfasts quite delicious. We visited Casa Laurin for the start of our trip and
for the end. Jeanette is one of the most thoughtful and helpful
people you will ever find. You can correspond
with her via email and she is quick to respond.
She had her driver pick us up at the airport for a cost of $20 about a 15 min ride ( we rented a car and followed him).
This we would recommend highly as there are no
street signs or addresses in costa rica. We also
rented through dollar a ezfind box that is a gps system that was the best thing that we got on the trip,
otherwise not sure how we would have made it anywhere.
Jeanette also arranged for us to have a mobil phone as well
that worked in costa rica. She fixed us a beautiful
costa rican breakfast with french toast and fresh
fruit ( mango, watermelon, tangelos etc) and also
tried to help coordinate anything we needed. On the
last evening we turned in our phone hassle free.
We stayed in the Orchid Suite which is beautiful
and spacious decorating of neuvo 80's decor
with a king bed. Very clean !!!. The jacuzzi also was a nice touch.
She also can have a rental car brought out to you too
if you like and you can turn that in your last day
and have the driver take you to the airport.
We choose dollar as it is american company
and if we had a accident we could deal better
we took all insurances possible as well. Jeanette
had better rates with the cars but we ended up
with what we knew with dollar. We rented the Orchid
suite as we are from florida and thought we must have
air but we didn't need. It is nice and cool at night
there.Property is gated and very safe as well.
There also is a community on line internet computer
to use as well as you can make local calls you need
to make. Also on property is a small fridge for cokes etc..
and a microwave and toaster oven.
We ate at Princess Marina twice. Had a great meal.
4 lobsters are only $20!!! Great food and close
to the property.
