Ginette is a fabulous host and the house is an upscale property in the best part of uptown San-Jose (Escazu). She even took care of the car rental for us.
Our first out of USA travels were made excetional by Ginette the owner of Casa Laurin B&B in Escazu a province of San Jose, Costa Rica. She made sure every detail for our stay ran smoothly. From making sure our car rental was set up right to the small details of how to mobilize around Costa Rica. She listened to our needs and provided information or help in meeting our desires. We observed this was done for the other guests who were staying at her B&B. We recommend this B&B if you want a supior personalized stay.
Casa Laurin is a great place to stay. Ginette takes a genuine interest in her guests and facilitates their interests, whether it is lining up rental cars, taxis, tour recommendations, etc. The house is immaculate with a lot of open common areas. Highly recommended, a standard of service that I haven't seen in any other B&B worldwide.

Casa Laurin is a haven and a wonderful launching pad for visits to Costa Rica. The owner, Ginette Laurin runs a spacious and serene B&B. Her breakfasts are superb and the staff are very fine people.
Staying here is like being in a lovely home. Many guide books to read, gardens to sit in and Ginette is there with excellent advice and suggestions about what to do and see. Will always stay there. C Scott
It was just blind incredible luck that I chose to stay at Casa Laurin. It is perfectly situated for whatever you want to do - just rest, or travel about Costa Rica. Ginette, the owner, a Canadian speaks English, French, and Spanish perfectly. She has been in Costa Rica for 8 years, and there is NOTHING she does not know about the country. Her Bed and Breakfast is in a wonderful house with a beautiful garden setting. The guest rooms are great, and varied. Breakfast is a real treat with tropical fruit, great Costa Rican coffee, with eggs, or whatever you wish. Best of all, however, is Ginette. She is extremely helpful, and arranged a rental car that was waiting for me on my arrival. Her driver picked me up at the airport for only $20. Beyond that, she helped me search for a house, spending hours with me on the exciting Costa Rican roads. Her advice on Costa Rica was priceless, and I was so lucky to have met her. At the end of my stay, Ginette arranged to have my rental car picked up, and her driver took me to the airport. All this - a great place to stay - expert advice on Costa Rica - wonderful guests - all for a very very reasonable price. You will thank yourself (and Ginette) should you decide to stay at Casa Laurin.
