We stayed at the Sleep Inn for two nights at the beginning of a two week trip.

The hotel environment was clean and comfortable. If you want to be in the center of the city this is the place to stay. The hotel staff were very helpful. This hotel is close to the museums and theater.

*** Watch for pick pockets. **** you prbably need a lock for your backpack or wear it backwards. (I used a safety pin on my backpack zippers for the rest of the trip).

All 3 zippers on my backback were unzipped without me noticing. We believe it was done by a team with a young women quickly walking by our group and then slowing down. As she slowed down, she slowed the pace for our group of three.

This hotel is great; the people are really friendly, always willing to help. The place is private with great security for us Americans. Casino next door with good food. I felt right at home. Walking distance to downtown. I would go back in a heart beat.

We chose this Hotel because we wanted to be in the center of the city. The rooms are great, clean, with a fridge, microwave, hair blower, iron, which all make you feel at home.
The hotel is gated and has security. The Casino is also inside the premises.
I loved the clean and new feel of the Hotel.
I only had one problem with recommending this hotel. We constantly saw the hookers from The Rey Hotel walk in with their customers into the rooms. There is a lot of entering and coming in all hours of the day and night.
I personally felt uncomforatble and would not recommend this hotel unless you don't mind being mistaken for a hooker.

I wish I would have known about the Sleep Inn in San Jose. I only stayed for 1 night (my last night), but I had been in San Jose earlier for 3 days at a different hotel. Sleep Inn is new, spacious, modern and very very safe. The rates are fantastic! The hotel was recommended by a local taxi driver and I am grateful to him for the recommendation. It felt soooo good to take a nice long and hot shower after traveling about Costa Rica. The hotel is guarded and there is security everywhere. The king size bed was comfortable and the towels in the bathroom were thick and fluffy. I also got hungry late at night and was able to oder room service. THANK YOU SLEEP INN ~~~~ seriously this is not a commerical/advertisement. I am an avid traveler.
