We arrived to the Hostel late at night. We chose it for our first night in Costa Rica based on reviews and the photos on the hotel's website.
From my experience in the past, hotel's with modern sites are quite good. How wrong was I.
We are simple travelers that require only 3 things from a place:
1. The be clean.
2. To have a comfortable bed.
3. To have a hot shower after a long day.
Rarely have I seen a place screw up 2 of the 3. Hostel Bekuo was able to screw up all 3, and add another request to the list "to be able to lock the door".
The double room we booked was dirty, it had concrete floor with holes in it. The windows were glass shutter which were broken - anyone could enter through it. The was a weird apparatus for hot water (which didn't work), and the bed was located on a wooden "half level" that made it impossible to stand, but felt like it's going to collapse.
The photos, were, of course, very different from the actual room. The location is kind of scary in the middle of the night, and there's nothing to eat around at 11PM except for Subway.
To summarize - avoid the place.
Go to a different place.
