We did a lot of research before we went to Rarotonga, as is was to be something really special. We definetly got it. We first stayed Beachfront at Reflections, which is owned by the same people. Reflections, to me was awesome. We have stayed everywhere in the Pacific, and this is the best. We changed over half way through our holiday, to Rumours, we had the Unit #5, this was ok, but nothing fantastic. It was beautifully appointed, but didn't have that wow factor, spend the extra and get a beachfrot room. The service was ok, but not excellent. Rarotonga, I feel is awesome. Great Restaurants. Sails is very overrated. We found a lovely Restaurant attached to the Crown Resort, this was by far the best. The Paw Paw atch Restarant is great. The owner is Rarotongan and his wife is a Kiwi. Great personality.

I'm a total travel snob, so it takes a lot to impress me - this did! This resort is only five units, all new and beautifully finished. The best unit is the Honeymoon Villa #3. (We originally booked #5, but the low bedroom and bathroom ceilings bothered me.) We upgraded to #3 as soon as we saw it - it is huge and gorgeous! Marble floors, huge beachfront patio, very private pool and hot tub. Big modern kitchen. 25' ceilings in the main area, gorgeous bathrooms. We were happy to have the home theatre as it rained for 2 days and there was nothing to do but watch movies. Personally, I didn't like Rarotonga - but loved Aitutaki. We stayed at the SLH there and it was paradise. The photos on the website are all you need.
