My daughter and I stayed 1 night at this beautiful resort in May. We were looking for a place to stay after a full day of cruising the Prince William Sound seeing the glaciers and wildlife. This seemed like a good stopover on the way to Denali. We were not disappointed. This is a beautiful spot and the only ski resort, I believe, in Alaska. We arrived on the last day of skiing season (Memorial Day weekend). There was still some snow at the top of the mountain and a few skiiers but essentially the ski season was over. We took the tram to the top of the mountain and the views were spectacular. We had just had several days of rain and were grateful the weather cleared for the wonderful views that awaited us. We ate at the Pond Cafe and it was very good. The room was spotless and the bed was heavenly. Great room darkening shades. Our room had a view of the mountain, the tram and the pond. I would have liked to hike the Winner Creek Trail but time did not allow it. Next time! I could see that if the resort was any busier, parking could be a problem. I think we got the last available spot in the lot near the hotel when we arrived. I would highly recommend this resort and if time allows, stay 2 nights. The Seward Highway is magnificent with "ohs and ahs" around each new bend. A beautiful highway to drive and explore the sights along the way. We took advantage of the many pull-offs along the way. This is a drive you should not rush thru. Hotel Alyeska was a perfect stop along the Seward Highway and a great part of our Alaska adventure!
