This hotel has made quite an impressive leap from a slow and steady decline a few years ago. The newly refurbished rooms are still a bit small for my taste but they are beautiful, clean and well maintained. The beds are more comfortable than I could ever describe. The property is beautiful and I don't believe I have ever had a poor view from any of the rooms that I have stayed in over the years.
The only small drawback(s): 1.) The food that is available on the property is average with above average prices (but that is expected at a hotel, I guess). 2.) Skis and snowboards are no longer allowed to be carried through the hotel (this is a good thing - as I'm sure this is how the hotel got so beat up a few years ago). This rule is strictly enforced and we weren't prepared to drive our equipment around to the storage room (near the tram entrance) as we parked and then carried everything into the lobby. Small pain but it is a reasonable request, I think. Nobody offered to help us carry our equipment to the storage room.
Since our favorite eatery was closed, the Double Musky/Muskee(SP?), we tried a small place located near the Sitzmark - Jack Sprat - very unique cuisine that we loved! Highly recommended.
