Like a home away from home for me and the group I was traveling with. From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness and hospitality by the wonderful staff. The food was delicious and catered to our tastes by chefs Christoph and Randi. The cabins were clean, well appointed & had stunning views. Everything was comfortable and while it is not cheap, Sadie Cove Lodge an excellent value in an excellent location. True wilderness and pristine beauty everywhere. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an authentic Alaskan experience. For those who are looking for the Waldorf Hotel in the wilderness I recommend that you go somewhere else.
The bear viewing was the best tour we took. The lodge has kayaks that we used a couple of times and we fished, quite successfully, from the dock for halibut 2 days in a row.
All in all a great time and highly recommended.
