We were so happy that we chose this hotel. Before I get to the good parts, let me say that you do need a car. This hotel is near but not in town. We walked into town once and then decided that since we were staying there AND because we were sightseeing for four days, we did need a car. The management suggested Rent-a-Wreck and even called them for us, and we ended up with a perfectly fine (not wrecked) 1993 Ford. If you want to be near the waterfront, this isn't the hotel for you, but if you're sightseeing, you probably need a car anyway. The hotel is all-suite. It isn't a bit fancy, but they do have clean, comfortable, well equipped, roomy suites. We had a bedroom, a living room area, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a washer/dryter. Since we were in the middle of a 2 week trip, I loved being able to wash midway through. We had not one but two cable TVs. The desk staff was superb. They went to great lengths to help us with anything and everything. My husband had lost his license in the Seattle Airport, and he was having his passport mailed to the hotel. He was very anxious about receiving it, which they knew, and they were so helpful and calming. It was due in at 4 o'clock, and at 9:30 we were sightseeing in Juneau when my cell phone rang. The manager knew how worried my husband was and called me on my cell phone to let me know that the passport had arrived early. They were consistently super helpful with everything. I think this hotel is a great bargain and that we got so much for our money.

Expedia overbooked - no rooms available our first of 3 nights! The manager set us up on cots in the conference room for our first night & then moved us to a room the next day. Construction is going on to expand the hotel. No elevator to 2nd & 3rd floors until addition complete. Very clean, comfortable room with full kitchen & washer/dryer. Desk staff very friendly, helpful. Grocery store nearby. We walked to downtown- 10-15 minute walk each way. No restaurant- can cook in kitchen or walk to downtown.

The Juneau Hotel was recommended to us by a local and it was great. Half the price than other Hotels and a superior quality.

About two miles from the downtown area and about five miles from the airport.

The staff was very helpful and super friendly. The manager was always avaliable to answer questions and give us directions.

We loved the place.

Hotel Is under construction, but the rooms were great mine had a view to die for, nothing like watching the cruiseships arrive in the morning while enjoying your morning cup of coffee. I caught a 18lb silver salmon right next to the hotel. A short walk in to Juneau took us to many differnt resturants (there is not one in the hotel) The Manager even took us out to pan for some gold. I recomend this hotel and the Juneau in Whole just remeber to pack warm dry cloths
