I recently went on this tour on Adventure Bound Alaska. The captain did a really good job of narrating throughout the journey. I saw many cool things on my trip, including whales, some orcas, and beautiful glaciers. I saw some cool calving events at South Sawyer glacier. The service on board is really good. They have food and drinks at reasonable prices as well as a DVD of the trip called "Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience". I bought the movie and it was really cool, especially the calving it had in it of the glaciers. I saw the movie was for sale on Film Baby, so for those of you who loved the trip or have yet to go, I highly recommend you buy the film. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip to any adventure seeker.

We were fortunate to visit with Adventurebound June11 on a sunny warm day. The scenery was stunning, blue ice, waterfalls all over, the ice flows with seals and their pups, bears and numerous eagles and whales. We were able to get close to the face of the glacier, saw the drops, and the sounds of the breaking ice were incredible.
The trip took 9 hours, would have loved staying on forever, the captain took all the time for us to enjoy the wildlife and ice flows. A truly great experience, and we plan on returning.
Bring some snacks or purchase on board, very inexpensive.

As a local that has been throughout Southeast Alaska, I would say this is the best value for an excursion from Juneau. A trip down to Tracy Arm is beautiful, and as far as I am concerned it is better $$$ spent then a day triip to Glacier Bay. The reason I say this is that you spend a lot of time getting into to the glaceirs at Glacier Bay, and it is a huge area. Tracy Arm on the other hand is this narrow fjord that has you close to the sides, allowing you to view bears, goats, seals and other wildlife. Its an absolutely beautiful experience. It is bound to be one of the highlights of your trip.

We were with Dawn Princess Cruise in Alaska on August 2008 and seeing the Sawyer Glacier in Tracy Arm Fjord in outstanding clear-sky weather was one of the best experiences in this cruise. It was absolutely spectacular day to behold according to Dean Paige, a naturalist, who was narrating the event as we navigate through the narrow passageway. It truly is once in a lifetime event to enjoy the wonders of the waterfalls, fjord walls, and glacially polished rocks. Absolutely an experience to remember for a long, long time.
