I have stay'd at uppereast proberly 3 to 4 times a month and every time I go there the service and quality has never changed, great zen garden in the centre of the building when looking out your window, hotel bar makes the best cocktails and mocktails, good is abit over priced but totally worth the cash, the rump I had was abit dry bt that was easly resolved and room service expecially food service is quick and always seem to make you feel at home, perfect getaway hotel, location abit of a downer bt it is central to town and only a 10min drive to central town, taxi shuttle service also alvailable, really enjoy this hotel, totally worth getting the best room available!!

What an amazing hotel. We have stayed om a few in South Africa, and this was by far the best. We did not get our rental car from Hertz at the airport, and the managers at the hotel took it upon themselves to phone around and ask about our car.
The bar and restaurant staff was very nice and always friendly! The coctails were really good. The food in the restaurant was really good, especially for a hotel's standards. The quality of the food was just as good when we ordered room service.
The manager even lent us their own tom tom as we did not have one for our trips out!
Very subtle but reassuring security. We had a great view from our room, we got to wake up and see the wonderful Table Mountain each morning!
Some great factory shops around the hotel. Very cheap clothing. Just not a place to go strolling in the evening.....but this is South Africa, you drive everywhere!

My husband and I booked into the hotel on our wedding night. We stayed there for only one night, before leaving for our honeymoon destination the next day. We were still in our wedding attire and the hotel gladly allowed us to take a few professional photos in the beautiful foyer and lounge area.

The staff was very friendly, and the hotel itself was good value for money. We paid only R475 at the time, which was perfect for our budget. It was a good place to start off our honeymoon and we got great looking photos for our album as well.

Excellent brand new hotel at a very good rate.. Close to everywhere in Cape Town.. Only 10 min by car to the Waterfront. Good restaurant and very good service.
