It is easy to be disappointed when you are expecting something very special. We weren't.

I had made arrangements with the hotel before our stay for a refurbished room, and it was beautiful, with views over Signal Hill and Table Mountain.

The staff were very welcoming throughout, remembering our names, and doing whatever they could to help.

The guys running us around in the cars were great - very personable and helpful.

My husband and son used the Virgin Gym through the hotel, and were well impressed.

We would very happily stay at Cape Grace if we were fortunate enough to visit Capetown again.

“Pampered in Cape Town”

Perched on Cape Town's 'Waterfront', with Table Mountain towering behind it, and the wharf and eventually, the ocean, to the other side, this hotel is the perfect base for exploring Cape Town and being pampered at the same time.

There are a multitude of reasons for choosing this hotel:

First, it's perfectly positioned for access to the bay, Robben island and great tourist attractions, but it has easy access to the town.

Second, we stayed in a newly renovated, delightfully appointed room - a terrace suite at the top of the hotel, with the most breathtaking view of Table Mountain. I can't vouch for any other room, but that one was magnificent.

Third, the service provided by the staff was of the highest order. The hotel were renovating the floor below us, but work only happened between 10am and 4pm, so we never heard it, and the hotel gave us a voucher as compensation. They also provide cars to ferry you around, if you book them, and each evening we were greeted as we stepped out of the lift on our floor with two people bearing wine and light bites for us to take to our room.
Location, service, luxury...a combination that was worth the price.

“Best Hotel in World”

Cape Grace

Our stay at the Cape Grace was incredible. The service was the best that I have ever experienced and I am a very experienced traveler.

The hotel has 3 BMW 7 series with drivers available at no charge to bring you wherever you wish. When you arrive there are 5 people to greet you. There are 4 concierges available all day and evening to help you plan your trip. Our room was perfect overlooking the water with fresh flowers and all amenities. I wanted to have my pants pressed and it seems the staff was at my room before I hung up the phone. Food at the hotel was OK but the restaurants around Cape Town were outstanding. Great stay. I highly recommend the Cape Grace. It was clearly worth the expense.

My wife and I spent 4 night at the Cape Grace---April21--25.We loved our stay. The location is terific--next to the Victoria and Alfred Mall---and near the boat trips to Robbin Island. The rooms are great and the staff is exceptional in their hospitality and service. There are many excellent restaurants nearby---like Baia--which is in the mallThe restaurant in the hotel is also very good.
The hotel has BMW cars that will drop you anywhere in Capetown ---a nice touch.
The nearby wine country is more than a day trip---we stayed in Franschhoek---which has to be one of the most beautiful settings in the world!!

I would definitely stay at this hotel again---It is one of the best in the world.

An absolutely fantastic hotel. stayed 8 nights, did very little sight seeing preferring to stay around the pool every day. Service, rooms staff location brilliant.
Wine list etc good. very relaxed environment where the guests needs were addressed very quickly.
Despite the cable car getting stuck on Table Top Mountain and the ferries not running and electric power cuts this was a brilliant holiday at a really top class hotel .
The views from the bedrooms were truly awesome, to wake up with the mist clearing from Table Mountain each morning and to watch it set every night was truly magnificent.
Room service very good and there was always seating available in the library/lounge for residents to have a night cap.

Staff discrete but on the ball.
