Not the place to be if on holiday - had previously been on Safari in Kruger and coming here for the second leg of our trip made us feel stressed. Close to the waterfront (hotel shuttle available) and good proximity to City.
Great if staying for business but not for pleasure.

We were staying in Winchester Mansions over Christmas and I discovevered that I had inadvertently booked for only 5 instead of 6 nights. We asked them to try to keep us for the 6 nights but meantime we booked Victoria Junction for the night of 29th December just in case. On 26th Winchester Mansions informed us that we were ok for the 6th night and offered to cancel Victoria Junction. Just to be sure my husband also rang and cancelled and was assured that there was no problem as we were well within 48 hours. However, when I got home I discovered that I had been charged by Victoria Junction for this night.

We never put a foot in this hotel and as we cancelled in time take a very dim view of being charged. Every other aspect of our two week holiday in the Cape Town area was terrific.

Perhaps people should be advised if they have to cancel - particularly Victoria Junction to do so in writing.

This hotel is a great base for exploring Cape town just 5 mins from V&A waterfront.

We went for a suite on the top floor - two levels - lounge and bedroom - even included an exercise bike and great coffee machine!

Air conditioning could have been better and the room had clearly been used by smokers but other than that it was very nice and clean.

Breakfast was plentiful however did not try the food in the evening as explored the town.

Car parking is available - very secure however there is a small fee of approx R30.

Bar a little expensive but aimed probably for the business man rather than the tourist!

A good place to go if you're a smoker. They do not have any non-smoking rooms. Their website does not state this, you only find this out after having booked!
