We were recommended and booked in here by the hotel we are staying in. When I went on Trip Advisor I almost cancelled the booking. I’m glad I didn’t.
A wonderful setting, we were seated at a window table on the first floor over-looking the courtyard. The building and decor is eclectic, wine themed with a sort of Colonial charm.
Service was friendly and prompt. The food was superb. My Fillet steak was as good as I have eaten anywhere on the planet. Cooked to perfection it melted in the mouth and the sauce was perfectly balanced with none of the stickiness you often associate with heavy sauces.
The fries were crispy and I didn’t hear anyone complaining! The poor reviews are so far removed from our experience that I would have to question their validity.
Price is subjective and I usually wouldn't comment but a number of recent of writers stated the restaurant as being very expensive. Take it from me it isn’t. I was a bit nervous walking in having not made the booking myself or studied the menu in advance. There was no need to worry. 3 of us were well fed for a modest sum.
A great meal and I would have no hesitation in returning.
