This was our 3rd hostel in BA, after trying out one on Belgrano which was ok.....one in La Boca which was a little less than ok and finally ending up in Augur Hostel which was great.
For £16 (approx) a night for a twin room, balcony, air con, great new mattresses, pillows and bedding, and breakfast....we thought it was great value. The location was spot on too...5 minute walk to the nearest tube station and huge Abasto Shopping Centre.
The hostel has a great restaurant below where we had our best steak so far...you also get your breakfast here.
Facilites wise: WiFi was ok but not great if you want to download stuff. good TV room, bar, decking area on the roof which was nice. Smoking areas. Very small kitchen, but it's a small hostel, and we've found most kitchens to be pretty small in Argentina in hostels anyway.
The only downside is our room was next to reception etc and on our first night we couldn't sleep for the noise of people in the bar and TV room til about 4am....frustrating, but was ok for the other 4 nights and I certainly wouldn't let you be put off by this....
The place generally has a good vibe about it. It's friendly. The staff are nice and speak English which is another bonus. We'd recommend.
