I recently stayed at the Che Salguero Hostel in Cordoba. Its about á 6 minutes walk from the main square that is in the centre of the city. The hostel has been set up by three friends that worked or studied in tourism and these three "amigos" work in the hostel on a daily basis. They made the people staying at the hostel feel extremely welcome, and I was impressed by their ability to remember everyones names, even though, as in all hostels, there are people coming and going every day.
The hostel had a kind of a homely feel to it, and it even had matching bed sheets and a comfortable dooner (blanket) for the cooler nights.
There was an asado (BBQ) that was shared by those who wanted to use it and a comfortable outdoors area with tables and cairs to chat to old friends and new ones.
Because the owners (who are young and keen work there on a daily basis, the place was always tidy and clean.
Having stayed in many hostels over the years, I can truely recommend this one.
