The hotel needed a renovation at least 10 years ago. Dirty carpet. Cobwebs in the room. Cracked sink. Bedside table falling apart. Everything looked old. Very basic. Walls were thin and I could hear talking, coughing, yawning next door. Most the rooms were empty -- the doors were open, so I could see that they were empty! All the other rooms looked old and tired. Many empty rooms with thin walls in an unkempt hotel made me feel unsafe -- I very seldom feel unsafe in a hotel. Only redeeming feature was free wi-fi. Restaurant downstairs that serves a reasonable breakfast and one of the very few restaurants in town that serves dinner. Resonable central location. Posadas is clearly not a popular tourist destination -- there was only one other 3 star hotel in the centre of town, and it didn't look much better from the outside.
