This is a gem of a place. There are only 3 rooms so you need to book way in advance. John Fernandes makes you feel so welcome and he is also like your travel agent while here. He serves you brechetta and drinks from 7:30 to 9 pm every evening . Breakfast consist of homemade bread and jams with juice, fruit and coffee. The rooms were clean. He even let us use his phone to call home as he has internet overseas service. He will help plan your time and arrange for a driver for you, recommend restaurants, activities, etc. We visited both sides of the falls and definitely the Argentina side is better. We have been to the falls 3 times and the Argentina side has been improved upon. Because of a protest with the schools, they closed the highway tio the Argentina side and we were not able to spend only a half day on this side on our last day. You could spend a whole day here easily. We also visited the bird park, and the dam. John definitely makes the stay memorable.

We stayed at the Secret Garden this past March and were so happy we did! John and his staff were amazing! Jaime, our driver arranged by John was very friendly and prompt.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable; my best sleep during our 2 weeks in Argentina! Breakfast was lovely. I think John should export his homemade jams! Yes, they're that good. Drinks and bruschetta in the evening were a wonderful way to transition the day and prepare us for dinner.

We only stayed 2 nights, but I highly recommend our favorite restaurant, La Hacienda. It was in a rustic cabin-like setting. And we had a blast there! Food was good, atmosphere and music wonderful. We went to Agva the 2nd night. It was very nice, but felt we could have been anywhere in the world.

We would love to go back to Iquazu and the Secret Garden and stay more than 2 nights. For us, 2 days and nights were not long enough!

The experience at Secret Garden was wonderful. From the start, John (the owner of the inn) arrived at the airport to pick us up. Secondly, our rooms were great and the personalized attention he gave us in Iguazu was great. We were escorted to a hotel where we could spend the afternoon at the pool after he made arrangements. We also got treated to a cocktail reception in the evening (John was sure we would make it back to socialize with guests). We did encounter a protest while we were there, the only drawback to our stay in Iguazu, but John was able to help us get around it at first. Make your reservations early as he has a tendency to fill up.

The Secret Garden is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and set within a beautiful tropical garden. The Inn is located a 5 minute walk away from the main centre of Puerto Iguazu and a 2 minute walk to the end of the road to get the public bus to the Argentinian side of the Iguazu Falls, Foz do Iguacu (Brazil) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay).

The proprietor of the Secret Garden is John Fernandes, an incredible chap who makes you feel welcome and is extremely interesting to talk to. Every night John hosts a 'Sundowner' with scrumptious caipirinhas and bruschettas, a fitting end to each day after seeing the beautiful Iguazu Falls. Its also a pleasant way to meet other people and pick up good tips on seeing the falls.

John will also sort out any transport that you need and has some very good recommendations of local places to eat and drink. He arranged for us and another couple to visit the Brazilian side of the falls, a brilliant wildlife park and Ciudad del Este!

There is no better way to stay and see the falls!!

Secret Garden owner, John Fernandes, is extremely professional, warm, and accommodating. After our original hotel plans were cancelled for unknown reasons, he helped us secure a room for three nights even though this was a most busy time, Easter week. The rooms are so clean and comfortable and the grounds very lush and tropical. An evening get together of guests provides a welcome way to meet others as well as find out information about the area. Anyone will be lucky to stay here!
