I agree with previous reviewers that it pays to spend a night at Cristina. We went horse-riding on the first afternoon and trekking the following morning. Both were stunning and guides were very good.
Very tasty packed lunch provided although the dinners were disappointing and my meal had to be returned to the kitchen as it was served cold and undercooked. The evening menu seemed to be overly ambitious but the cooks simply couldnt deliver. Particularly given the rural surroundings, we would have just have loved a good steak like the day trippers were offered.
The accommodation was very comfortable although not luxurious. Each cabin is split into 4 bedrooms and all shared the study at the front. The weather was quite unforgiving and a pity that we hardly saw the sun lift from the clouds during our stay here.
The views and landscape were stunning and my partner proposed to me by the lakes and mountains to make this part of our holiday a truly unforgettable experience.
Service was good and particulary enjoyed the communal area especially the tea room, the horses from our horse trek were roaming free just outside the window.
