We were so happy we found this place. Although 10 miles off the main road into Prescott (Prescott was about 14 miles away in total) this really was the perfect retreat. The road gets quite windy in places and the last half mile is quite rough, but easily accessible by cars and especially 4x4s.
The Treehouse B&B itself is just so lovely. We had the top floor room and it was perfect. Large room with TV, table and chairs near the window to sit at and eat and look at the beautiful woodland outside. Large integral shower, dressing/wardrobe room and bathroom with wc and toilet. Lovely and clean, nice furnishings and very comfortable bed. Just outside down the wooden steps and onto a wooden terrace there is a place to sunbathe or just sit and read, plenty of chairs and a table, and brollies to shade the sun if you need. Also a beautiful hot tub, sitting in that hot tub in an afternoon watching the birds and squirrels all around was a fantastic experience.
Carole and Chuck the owners are so friendly and helpful. We didn't see much of them on our visit as we went 4 July weekend and there was a big rodeo in town (shame really as we did not get to see as much of Prescott as we would have liked to as it was so busy). Carole left us a gorgeous breakfast the first day as they were off early to the rodeo parade. The breakfast was left in their accommodation ready to eat and beautiful, peach french toast, perfect. Next day we ate breakfast and talked with Carole and Chuck, a lovely couple.
We had a quick look in the ground floor accommodation before we left and that too was lovely, although I think I liked the height of our room up in the trees and it is the bigger of the two.
A perfect retreat for a quiet few days, you can wander around in the woods or drive down near to the bottom of theroad and eat at the Lakeside restaurant (can't remember exact name). The food was lovely, although we must admit the service was a bit off the second visit, not so friendly staff. But very convenient.
I believe the place is up for sale, although in the climate it could be a while til it is sold. Make the most of it now, and visit before it is sold on. You couldn't wish for nicer hosts and a lovely location.
