Stayed here for a long weekend while visiting family. Scottsdale is really the area you want to stay in if you're in Phoenix and while this property isn't the best I've stayed at it's still a very good hotel/resort.
The room/suite was great. Clean and well appointed. I did have a problem with the tv remote and the Bose radio wasn't plugged in so I had to move the whole TV cabinet but really I had no complaints. The bed was super comfortable and even the pull-out couch was pretty good to sleep on. I did hear of someone complaining about having to take their luggage up to the 2nd floor on their own since there's no elevators so if this is an issue then you might want to request a room on the ground floor.
The pool area was quite nice complete with a waterfall and a hot tub that looks like it seats 25 people. There are some activities for kids and even some for the "big kids" (adults). There's a small cafe that serves decent enough sandwiches and drinks albeit I kind of felt there should have been more offerings. It's rare that a big property like this doesn't have a bar/restaurant. I also wish there was a shuttle that would bring you to the Scottsdale Quarter or someplace else close.More
