Sedona tends to be expensive. If you want a moderate priced hotel, the Baby Quail Inn is the place for you. The service was outstanding. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. If you're in Sedona, you should only be in your hotel room to sleep. There is so much to see and do. (Hike in the AM before it gets too hot.)
The host, Dick Curtiss, greets you in the morning at breakfast. The breakfast bar is small but has healthy options such as yogurt, cereal and friut. The staff was also very helpful with advice about sightseeing and dining.
The Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center in town has a very helpful volunteer staff and free information. They also have free maps of hiking trails such around Catherdral Rock.
