“Awesome vegan chocolates and fresh meals, and even better people - meatlovers, you will love it too!”
We came to know about this eatery through one of the brochures we had picked up at the visitors' center. Looked interesting, and we were hungry, so we went. I am a vegetarian, but I was accompanied by my husband and brother, both ardent meat lovers. We started off with the chocolates . At 2.50 a piece - theyre steep, but if you make the right choice, well worth it. I loved the one with sea salt. And also the one with coffee in it. Do try those. We had the fruit lassi, which surprised us. It wasnt overly sweet or flavored. But it was one of the most refreshing drinks I have had. I guess something about it having pure stuff worked its magic. We also shared a slice of the chocolate ganache and were left wondering how it could be so good without the usual ingredients. While we were there, the staff members (extremely personable, each of them) informed that it was an evening of poetry reading. We sat in the courtyard garden -eating and drinking, and listening to poetry. We learned that they organize many such community events around the year, and even training sessions on heathier eating etc.For dinner, we tried the avocado sandwich and the veggie burger. Both were superb. They have an interesting collection of books, jewelry and beauty products as well, though what we preferred to carry back with us were the chocolates and vegan cheese toppings.Must visit Chocolatree even if you are a meat lover!
