My husband and I stayed at this property for three nights in September and we were not disappointed. We had the Pinon Pine Suite which is on the ground floor with its own deck.Phil and Dee are gracious hosts and the breakfasts are superb. The location suited us fine and should we ever visit Sedona again we would certainly return.

If you are looking for a romantic or relaxing spot to vacation then Dee and Phil's Dreammaker B&B is most definitely the place. My fiance' and I had never stayed at a B&B and were a little leary but we read the reviews on this site and decided to give it a try. We could not have made a better decision. The entire experience was truly magical. We stayed in the beautiful Victorian suite that has an amazing cathedral ceiling with sidewall skylight windows that allow you to see the starry night sky while laying right there in your bed. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the atmosphere of the entire place was one of comfort, cleanliness, relaxation, and love. Phil and Dee are an amazing couple and the chemistry between them really infuses this place with love and magic. From Dee's AMAZING breakfast (you must ask for the stuffed french toast) and her beautiful art gallery to Phil's great hiking advice and stories you couldn't ask for a more welcoming atmosphere. The location is also great it is situated just outside of the hustle and bustle energy of uptown Sedona. It is just far enough outside to get all of the bennefits of being in Sedona without all of the traffic, and people. You are much closer to Bell Rock in this location and the energy and beauty of the site can be seen and felt from your balcony. My most favorite part of all was most definitely the observation deck. The observation deck on top of the dreammaker gives a completely unobstructed view of the night sky. We could see every star, it was so romantic. So romantic in fact that my boyfriend chose this very location to propose to me. Apparently we were not the only ones who felt the magic of this place, we were apparently the third couple to have been engaged here. Many more had honeymooned and celebrated anniversaries there and I can completely understand why. I would recommend this B&B to couples on honeymoons, celebrating an anniversary, or to any single travelers looking for a space to relax and just get a way from it all. My only regret is that I actually planned too much before I went. I wish I had just spontaneously made plans when I had gotten there as I would have spent even more time in the B&B itself. All in all we were so grateful to Dee and Phil for making the DreamMaker what it is and being the best hosts we have ever known. We will definitely be back for our anniversary and would never even consider staying anywhere else. You will not be dissapointed with this one! :)

Sedona Dream Maker Bed & Breakfast

After reading so many positive reviews on this website, I booked the Sedona Dreammaker for a romantic weekend getaway with my husband. Although we found the B&B to be every bit as charming and our hosts certainly as friendly as previous guests have described, I wanted to caution future visitors about the location. If you have your heart set on staying in Sedona proper, then bear in mind that the Dreammaker is actually in Oak Creek Village eight miles south. Also the photos on Dreammaker's website may lead you to believe that the B&B is fairly isolated, but the house is actually right in the middle of a typical, overdeveloped suburban neighborhood (the type of environment we hoped to get _away_ from!) Fortunately, the property is masked with clever landscaping and crafty use of shrubbery, thus rendering the surrounding neighbors essentially invisible. Whether taking a stroll in the garden or enjoying the view from the top deck, the B&B feels secluded and private--until the moment you step off the grounds. If you are a "hotel type" of person, this may not be the place for you, but if you are a "B&B" person, then Dee's scrumptious breakfasts and Phil's invaluable advice on what to do and see in the area will makes fans of you for life.

We want to respond to this review so our future guests are not confused with our location. We are situated in "The Village of Oak Creek" that some visitors may mix up with "Oak Creek Canyon". Each of these regions are on opposite sides of the Uptown Sedona area tourist and souvenir shops. Our property is in the back of a quiet vacation home and retirement neighborhood that you must drive through to reach us. We hope all guests research the Sedona area fully as our city is a large region with separate towns within the Sedona vicinity. We otherwise appreciate this guest’s kind review of our accommodations.

Dream Maker was the perfect place to stay in Sedona for me and my husband. When we made the reservations, we didn't realize that Sedona is made up of three villages, and we were disappointed that we were in Oak Creek Village instead of in the better-known area of Upper Sedona. Dream Maker's location turned out to be wonderful, though -- close to lots of hiking, good restaurants, beautiful scenery, popular sites. Not being within walking distance of the tourist shops was a real plus for us, and Dream Maker was just like having our own home in the area -- with the benefit of someone else making you a delicious breakfast every day and a person to recommend activities every day and explain the best way to get to them. Come to think of it, Dream Maker was like going home to Mom's. The rooms were huge, comfortable, and full of amenities. We stayed in the Pinon Pine room and had our own small patio overlooking Bell Rock and Dee's lovely garden. The rooftop deck was a great place to see millions of stars (even the Milky Way) each night. It was such a romantic, comfortable place, that one couple there at the same time we were got engaged during their stay. We hated to leave, and I know we'll go back.

I can't say enough about this beautiful log home and its wonderful owners. I had the opportunity to spend two nights in the Victorian Suite. Because of my tour, I had to check in late and Phil was gracious enough to accommodate my schedule. Upon arrival, it was dark, so I had no clue what Sedona or the Dreammaker looked like. I had no problem finding it in the rain, in the dark, all alone without a map. Phil has great directions on the website and actually gave me alternative directions from Williams that would be faster without traffic. The next morning I was pleasantly surprised by the view from my window and balcony. There isn't a bad view in the whole house. There is also a wonderful deck on the room to take pictures and view the night sky. I highly recommend a cup of tea on the deck one evening. The room was beautifully decorated in a victorian theme which I love since my home is decorated the same way. The room has a tv with a lot of channels and a dvd player with a nice selection of dvds to borrow. There is no a/c at this B&B but it wasn't necessary as it was quite comfortable throughout my stay. The air system that they use provides wonderful clean air through the open windows throughout the house and ceiling fans are in every room. I was actually cold one morning! The B&B is close to everything. I was able to go out every day and enjoy the sites. The library is a few miles away and has free computers and internet access for your use. Breakfast each day was wonderful as Dee is an excellent cook. The breakfast pie, which was a sort of quiche dish with avocado was to die for. You must ask for this one! The second day we had wonderful french toast with a ton of syrup choices to choose from. Dee and Phil are wonderful hosts and warmly welcome you into their home. Don't forget to grab some carrots and feed the llamas in the yard!

We feel we must clarify this review as it seems our guests felt we had somehow deceived them on our location. Every effort possible is described on our website along with pictures to explain our property details. It is possible some guests may confuse "The Village of Oak Creek" with "Oak Creek Canyon". These communities are on opposite sides of the Uptown area of Sedona, and we want all of our potential guests to make sure they are aware of the location of our property as Sedona is a very large region. The neighborhood that you must travel through to enter our property is in fact a quiet vacation home and retirement community. Otherwise we appreciate the kind words this reviewer gave us of our accommodations.
