We stayed at the Rose Tree Inn which was one of the human highlights of our stay in Sedona. It is a B&B for those who want to avoid the bourgeois chic that seems to define commercial Sedona. The host was most hospitable, steered us away from tourist-trap restaurants, and advised us about the locals' Sedona. The courtyard was a haven for birds of all kinds; never have we seen so many hummingbirds at once who allowed us to admire their diversity... Unbelievable. The room was quaint, homey, and cozy; the owner had clearly thought out what his guests might need for short and longer stays. The owner, Gary, is welcoming and personable.
